Massive Performance Boost in Cyberpunk 2077 with AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation Mod

The gaming community is buzzing with excitement over the recent performance boost in Cyberpunk 2077, thanks to the AMD FSR 3 Mod. Free fake frame gen performance, although the mod seems to be paid for at first, it’s good after AMD made their FSR 3 source code open to anyone.

A free version of Luke’s mod may be coming soon.

FSR 3 is the third and latest version of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution. It builds upon the foundation of FSR 2’s upscaling capabilities and introduces frame generation. This allows the system to create new in-game frames and present them to the user, which ultimately enhances the frames per second (fps). It is claimed to offer up to twice the frame rate as its predecessor.

The frame generation in FSR 3 makes use of an improved iteration of AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) optical flow technology, along with temporal game data like motion vectors. AMD’s FSR 3 frame generation works by diverting the standard in-game image, which would typically appear on the monitor, and directing it toward FSR 3’s Optical Flow processing.

Optical Flow technology evolved from AFMF and compares this frame to the previous frame to generate one in between them. This task can operate asynchronously to minimize interference with the game’s rendering pipeline, ultimately generating fresh in-game frames that can subsequently be displayed.

How does the FSR 3 mod work for Cyberpunk 2077

The mod works by inserting an additional frame into the render pipeline, which automatically doubles your frame rate. This is achieved through AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames technology, which is essentially frame generation minus the FSR 3 image quality.

While the LukeFZ Cyberpunk 2077 AMD FSR 3 mod is currently limited to Patreon subscribers, a free alternative could soon be available. A new mod was released online today, enabling users to activate AMD’s technology in any game that supports NVIDIA DLSS 3. Although the initial version has some stability and visual issues, it represents a promising development for gamers seeking to optimize their gaming experience.

AMD has announced that it will be adding Fluid Motion Frames to its drivers, promising a one-click performance boost through AMD Software. This feature finds the best combination of features for the game you’re playing and turns them on in one click.

In conclusion, the AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation Mod has brought a massive performance boost to Cyberpunk 2077, enhancing the gaming experience for players around the world. As AMD continues to innovate and improve its technology, gamers can look forward to even better performance and visual quality in the future.
