In a recent hardware leak, Intel’s upcoming Lunar Lake integrated graphics processing unit (iGPU), featuring the Battlemage “Xe2” GPU architecture, has shown impressive performance. The early benchmarks indicate that Lunar Lake’s Battlemage iGPU is almost twice as fast as the Alchemist+ iGPUs in Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake chips

Starting with Intel’s Arrow Lake CPUs, the Core Ultra Series 2, these chips will house the latest Lion Cove P-Core, Crestmont+Skymont E-Core, and Alchemist+ graphics architecture. The CPU spotted is a 64 EU SKU that ran between 1.7 and 2.0 GHz clock speeds.
On the other hand, the Lunar Lake engineering sample has 20 cores and a clock speed of 1.0 GHz base and up to 3.91 GHz boost clocks. The chip also has 64 Execution units and was running between 1.75 to 1.85 GHz clock speeds
The Lunar Lake chip scored a max GPU Processing performance of 1927.62 Mpix/s, marking an 80% increase over the Alchemist+ iGPU, which is an impressive feat. The Arrow Lake CPUs are listed with a TDP rating between 65W and 125W, while the Lunar Lake chip is rated at 17W in this leak.
On the other hand, the recently leaked Intel Lunar Lake engineering sample is quite impressive with its 20 cores and a base clock speed of 1.0 GHz, which can boost up to 3.91 GHz. The chip also boasts 64 execution units and clock speeds ranging from 1.75 to 1.85 GHz. Remarkably, it achieved a maximum GPU Processing performance of 1927.62 Mpix/s, an 80% increase over the Alchemist+ iGPU.
In terms of power consumption, the Arrow Lake CPUs have a TDP rating between 65W and 125W, while the Lunar Lake chip has a much lower rating of 17W. This is consistent with the design goals for Lunar Lake CPUs, which are intended for thin and light laptops. In contrast, the Arrow Lake CPUs could be early H-series SKUs aimed at high-end gaming designs. These chips are set to compete with AMD’s upcoming Strix Point APUs, which are based on the Zen 5 core architecture and are also expected to launch later this year.
