Intel’s 15th generation of CPUs, codenamed Arrow Lake, is set to revolutionize the computing world with its advanced features and superior performance

This article is a roundup of pretty much everything we know about Intel Arrow Lake, including its specifications, performance, availability, leaks, rumors, reddit flames and more.

Intel Arrow Lake Specifications

Arrow Lake CPUs are expected to be built on a new, advanced process node. The CPUs will feature up to eight performance and 32 efficiency cores. This configuration is expected to deliver unparalleled multi-threaded performance.

Interestingly, Arrow Lake CPUs are rumored to drop support for Intel’s simultaneous multi-threading technology, Hyperthreading. This technology is typically used to maximize multi-threaded performance when cores aren’t used to their full capacity. However, hyperthreading was reportedly no longer necessary with higher core counts of Arrow Lake processors.

Arrow Lake CPUs are also expected to feature the latest GT1 Xe-LPG iGPU. This integrated graphics processing unit will enhance the visual performance of the CPUs, making them ideal for gaming and other graphics-intensive tasks.

Intel Arrow Lake Performance

The performance of Arrow Lake CPUs is expected to be significantly higher than that of previous generations. According to a leaked presentation slide, the CPUs offer a 5% IPC increase and a 15% increase in multi-threaded performance. These improvements are largely due to the new P-Cores & E-Cores, based on the Lion Cove and Skymont architectures. Read more on the leaked performance here in my article covering the topic.

Intel Arrow Lake Leaks and Rumors

There have been several leaks and rumors surrounding the Arrow Lake CPUs. One such leak suggests that the CPUs will feature native Thunderbolt 4 support. Another leak points out that the CPUs will support much higher memory speeds natively, with up to 6400 MT/s mentioned in a dual-channel configuration.

A Twitter user with impeccable hardware leaking credentials has posted a batch of Intel slides detailing the Arrow Lake-S platform, the desktop variant. The slides were deleted from Twitter for some reason but saved by Videocardz.

Reddit user @yuuki_ans shared detailed information on Intel’s next-generation consumer desktop platform, assuming the leaked information is real. The leaker not only confirms the CPU specs of Arrow Lake’s desktop CPUs, it will feature up to an 8+16+1 core configuration.

However, it’s important to note that these are just leaks and rumors. The actual specifications and features of the CPUs may vary when they are officially released.

Intel Arrow Lake Availability

The release date for Arrow Lake CPUs is not yet confirmed. However, they are expected to be available to the public towards the end of 2024. The CPUs will be available for both desktops and laptops, making them versatile for various computing needs.
